An interesting exhibition is in Barcelona this days. Women of Water is about Africa, women and the problem of water.
Through the photographies of the catalan photo-journalist Tomás Abella we can see this problematic in some places of Africa, focussing in the zone of Ethiopia mainly.

Abella illustrates a daily life of women in diverse African countries, searching water, to which they dedicate between five and twelve hours in a day.
Until 18/05/2008, the exhibition is in CASA AMATLLER: Pg Gràcia, 0041 – Tel. 934961245

There is a book that has been published by Intermon-Oxfam in Catalan, Spanish and English with all of the photographs and their corresponding descriptions. You can find it here:

Also, Tomás Abella has a website: http://www.tomasabella.com.
