The writer will presents “Mirrors”, this Monday in Barcelona. Eduardo Galeano defines to his text like `Around the world in 600 stories” .
The Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano advances that he will read a selection of them in his presentation Monday in “American House in Barcelona“. In an interview, the recognized journalist and writer speak of his work like “a house that has many doors and many windows”, and invite the reader “to enter by where she wants”.
I remember the beautiful “Genesis” of “Memory of fire” (1982):
“The woman and the man dreamed that God was dreaming about them. God was singing and clacking his maracas as he dreamed his dream in a tobacco smoke, feeling happy but shaken by doubt& mystery. The Makiritare Indians know that if God dreams about eating, he gives fertility and food. If God dreams about life, he is born and gives birth.”
Something about Galeano and “Mirrors”, here (spanish).
I see it in El Universal.

Those that we are in Spain, we have been seeing for a time a Tv publicity of Aquarius (Coke), of “the Colifata”.
But, what is La Colifata? The Colifata is a radio that was born in 1991 in Buenos Aires, and at the microphone they are the patients of the psychiatric center Jose Tiburcio Borda.
It was born like an alternative therapy, and as his director Alfredo Olivera says: “We want that madness speaks, but also the fears that come associate to it… Everything are possible: a related soccer match that not yet has gambled, to interview to Nerón and to connect with the special envoy to Mars, where “trains are not seen flying over the sky”.
Friday 4 of April of the 2008 in Barcelona, you can see ”LT22 Radio the Colifata“, the documental of Carlos Larrondo, already awarded in Gijón in December.
In his prime opera, Larrondo, also accompanies to several members of the radio in its trip by Spain, France and Italy, where initiatives inspired by the experience of the Colifata work. In Barcelona, the camera related the meeting with Manu Chao, that already was cooperated with thems, with a edition of a disc to benefit of this peculiar radio.
(So sorry, but I can’t know where will be the exhibition, that if you know, please tell us)
I see this info in: haztelotu.wordpress.com

“The nothing”, or the silence or the emptiness, is a creative elements in the art (in music or design for example). The exhibition “The utility of the emptiness”, in the Museum of the Decorative Arts of Barcelona, compiles up to 120 pieces that make us think about the importance of the emptiness.1 comment March 4, 2008

Barcelona Movie is a new web, that will serve to give relevance to certain locations of Barcelona that still are not tourist icons.
The idea is that the tourists organizes the visit to the city from a cinematographic point of view, crossing the scenes where diverse rolled films was success in Barcelona.

The web Barcelona Movie, is to discover the city since the cinema, so that the person who consults the Web finds the relation of the scenes and its location in a plane of the city, as well as complementary information of Barcelona.
For example, now you can find Almodóvar’s scenes in Barcelona (”All About My Mother”) : Monument a Colom, Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, Palau de la Música Catalana.
The scenes of “The Perfume” in Barcelona of Tom Tykwer, “Erasmus Students’ Barcelona” of Cédric Klapisch, also Giovanni Veronesi, Peter Greenaway, Alejandro Amenabar, Fernando Trueba, Michelangelo Antonioni, who are some of the directors who have used the city as a location for their films.
Sure, is a good idea!

Valentine’s Day is a special celebration, as you know, on February 14.
Generally, the lovers express their love sending presents, flowers, swets, and some of them, going to special site in the night.
In this order, we can suggest you a good thing to enjoy with your lover (if you remember an love ABBA):
But while I’ve been looking for special activities for this day, I saw an interesting article in ABC, in which TERESA DE LA CIERVA, MARTA BARROSO, PATRICIA ESPINOSA DE LOS MONTEROS talks about a study of the Valentine’s day traditions:
”The fragrances and the oils for the bath, among other products of beauty, do not fail, but either the romantic escapes. According to the study of Expedia, the best thing to reinforce a relation is a trip; that said 61% of the people at least. 41% of the women (always more positive) thinks that it helps to recover “the flame” (39% declare that when finalizing a trip has returned to fall in love with its pair), and the men, (”always so optimistic”), consider that “he is not going to suppose no change” (42%)… What yes it is certain is that it does not solve a crisis (only 6% take advantage of it to solve problems). One of the tactically important points is the planning of the trip. Women (36%) gives to much more importance him to the details whereas to them (23%) she costs to them more to put itself in agreement on the budget…”
What do you think about this study? And what you prefeer your lover do tomorrow?
